Men's Event Friday February 11th

I am more than excited to tell you about our next men’s event Friday February 11th.   Of course we’ll feature our outstanding fellowship and wonderful meal featuring steak, salmon, or chicken.  In addition we’re pleased to have a guest speaker, Major Daniel Gade, who will speak about God’s sovereignty and grace during combat & recovery.  I can’t do justice to Dan’s story here, so read what some folks at UGA had to say, below.  And, then, hit reply to tell me a yes, no or maybe. Thanks, Larry Atkins – for the MIC Steering Committee.

Major Daniel Gade.  Major Gade is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and is finishing his PhD in political science at UGA.  His topic is "God's Sovereignty and Plan for Our Lives."  This will not be a theoretical topic for Major Gade, but an understanding that has been forged in the crucible of serving in Iraq and suffering the loss of one of his legs  Dan Gade is a remarkable person.  I have heard him speak twice and was impressed with his honesty and humility as he tells his story, his accomplishments both before and after his injury, and his down-to-earth perspectives on life, death, and loving God in the midst of personal tragedy.
